Owner's Biography
Jesse W was born and raised in Escondido, California. From a young age, he had a fascination with entertaining people. Most other boys wanted to be baseball players or firemen, Jesse dreamed to be a stand-up comic one day. When he got to middle school, it was simple for him to take that step toward an interest in music and acting. When Jesse reached high school, he became very involved with all areas of the drama program. He learned several skills that would help him later on. This included working a sound mixer, controlling lights, and how to plan and run any type of show. He was promoted and became the head of the technical theater department for his junior and senior year at San Pasqual High School. He took charge as the boss and delegated the crew for all the plays for the drama department and all recitals for the music department.
After high school, 2002, Jesse spent a lot of time mixing sound for bands as well as playing in them. He became more serious with music and he started gathering and purchasing sound equipment of his own. He was asked to DJ quite a few friends weddings, where his “always on stage attitude” and theater background served him well. One night, Jesse went out with some friends and they found themselves at a karaoke night at Woody’s. Jesse remembered thinking that karaoke is stupid. His friends pressured and nagged him to sing. Reluctantly, he sang “The Distance” by Cake and had so much fun that immediately, his attitude changed. He loved it so much that he started researching how to become a karaoke DJ. That was when the first seed of what would become Fire by Night Entertainment was planted. He continued to disk jockey weddings, birthday parties, and corporate events; slowly building up a Karaoke song database. One day, he was finally able to add karaoke to his repertoire and offer it as an option for any special event.
Jesse is a fan of any kind of entertainment that makes you think. If a movie stays with you for days after you watch it, Jesse is a huge fan. He loves a great cover song, one that makes you look at a song from a different angle. If you want an example, listen to Cake’s cover of “War Pigs” from Black Sabbath.
The ultimate desire for Fire by Night Entertainment is to be a one stop shop for all things entertainment.
If you are going to have a party or wedding, you only need to call one place. If you need a caterer, we have that. If you need tables and chairs, we got you covered. You want to make a movie, we can help. Jesse knows it will not happen overnight, but believes it is achievable

Security
At Fire by Night, we take your privacy seriously and are open and up front with what we do.
The information our business collects includes: your name, phone number, email and pertinent info about the event we are hired to do. Unless its a public event, we keep your personal information and address to the event private. We will post the event name and time on our events page, but no names and address will be shared if it is private. We do not sell your information to anybody. We do ask you to sign a release form allowing us to post photos/ videos we took from your event on our site / social media outlets, you do have the choice to decline. All reviews are posted on our site, but we do not include your last name. All our service contracts are kept in a file box locked away in our office.
All payments to us are done in person either by cash, credit card (using our secure Square reader) for a small 2.5% fee, or personal checks (which must be received at least one week prior to your event). Also we can be paid through online to us via email invoices using square or paypal (2.5% fee for both as well), and Venmo. All checks are deposited into our account within 3 days.
If any concerns of data are mishandled, please reach out to us immediately and we will do all we can to correct it.
